Tutorial for Bullet Alternative 007 – Arrow to Lines
Using Bullet Alternatives
This is a stylish way to display bullets. The gradients make all the difference in the appearance of this framework, elevating it to a very classy bullet layout design.
This framework can be used as a tracker in documents by highlighting the framework fields that correspond the sections of the presentation. Reduce the framework and place it as an icon somewhere on the page. Be consistent with where you place the tracker.
Once you have identified the best-suited bullet alternative variation, download it to a specific location on your computer so you'll be able to find it (the desktop is always a good choice).
Customizing your bullet alternative
If you want to change the size/shape of the PowerFramework, be sure to group it and resize the entire group. Once resized, ungroup to proceed with other customizations.
Select color from your document's color palette or a complimentary color so that the PowerFramework will reflect the color scheme of the rest of your document. Use a contrasting color for the small separater fields between the text-bearing fields. If you use gradients, eliminate the lines.
Adding 3D effects tends to add substance to this framework. Be sure you order the 3D fields correctly so they appear correctly (as in the example above).
Shadows tend to muddy the effect of this framework. If you need to use shadows to be consistent with the other elements on the page, use shadows that extend only slightly from the framework pieces.
Gradients, patterns, and pictures
Gradients work really well with this type of framework. The gradient that fades away on the right (no right-hand boundary) actually allows extending the text field so more text can be used. Gradients, pictures (that's Wylie), or patterns can be used particularly well with the large left-most field of the framework. Each of the downloads contain a version using gradients. Simply change the color of the gradient to match your template's color scheme.
Animate as wipes or another effects that support the flow of the framework.
