Chart of the Month – May 2013 – Building a Mechanism

Subscribe to download a PPTX file for this article.

This chart is a combination of figures from Silhouettes series SL005 and SL007 and Forces series FR017. Together they illustrate a process of building a mechanism. The pushing and lifting silhouettes are interactive, meaning the silhouette is developed in pieces. Therefore, part of the silhouette can be in front of and part of the silhouette behind an object (the gear). The gears were selected from the many gears in the Forces series based on how the teeth of the gear fit together. It will only took a few minutes to size the gears and silhouettes and fit them together.

Combining frameworks found on the PowerFrameworks site can open up many additional message delivery possibilities. You're welcome to download the Chart of the Month and put it to work in your presentations.
