Tutorial for Concept 056 – Stylized Spotlights

These frameworks are a nice way to "put a spotlight" on a topic. Choose from 2 to 6 spotlights. The beam is a semitransparent field that connects the spotlight to the spotlighted object. If you don't want to use the spotlight concept, then just use the layout to illustrate a one-to-many or many-to-one flow.

Customizing the stylized spotlights

Adjust size

Group the whole framework and then rescale it.  Ungroup and continue with other formatting.  It isn't recommended that the circles be enlarged or reduced since the beam is sized to the circle size.  Resizing/rescaling the circles will diminish the visual effectiveness of the framework.

Color variations

You can use whatever colors you wish or stay within range of colors in your templates palette.  The beam color can also be changed, but be sure to set the color to semitransparent.  The download has the beams set at 50% transparency.  This can also be changed if you wish.

3D variations

No 3D with these frameworks

Shadows

No shadows either

Gradients, patterns, and pictures

You can import pictures into the circles.

Animations

There are no animation choices that make the beam and spotlighted objects appear in a realistic way.  You may just want to use a simple animation scheme like fade or appear.
