What do you mean by "ghosting" and/or "watermarks"?
The ghosting of objects and/or using watermarks are the same thing. Below are examples of ghosting/watermarks on both light and dark backgrounds.

When you have a light background, use a slightly darker color or tone for your watermark and use dark text. You want as much contrast between the background and the text as possible so your text will pop. |
