Make sure your ranges are correctly stated

When writing about ranges, it's important to use the correct set of words: small and large, deep and shallow, broad and narrow, large and small, long term and short term, etc.. Surprisingly often, the two words are mismatched: high-level and short-level (should be low-level), long haul and close haul (should be short haul), top level and low level (should be bottom level), etc.

This is a cousin of mixed metaphors. Be sure you're drawing the correct verbal picture for your audience.
