Use these buildings to illustrate industries, as in the series example; illustrate points in a flow; or as icons (see the icons category IC006 for these buildings formatted as icons).
Customizing the vertically sliced circles
The buildings in the download are grouped; therefore, just resize or rescale. Group them if they become ungrouped before resizing or rescaling.
The buildings can receive line and fill color. The structures are formatted with black fill/no line color. and the windows and doors are white squares/rectangles placed over the structures. Many building drawings have the windows and doors cut out of the building structure, which means the background shows through. Sometimes this type of drawing just doesn't work with a background for a few different reasons. PowerFrameworks' buildings work much better and more consistently. You can also apply a gray to some of the windows and apply bright yellow to other windows, which makes it look like some windows have lights on and some don't. These buildings have the most built-in options.
Do not use 3D with these buildings.
Drop shadows "lift" the building off of the background. Therefore, the buildings will look like icons instead of buildings. Keep that in mind if you choose to use shadows.
Gradients, patterns, and pictures
Don't use these types of formatting.
